Local, local, local! The Smithy was begun in 2007 with a mission to provide a prominent outlet for locally-grown & locally made products, from vegetables to condiments to spun wool to photography. Every year its eclectic catalogue of fascinating local, hand-made items seems to double, and changes throughout the growing season. If you think you know what they have...well it's time to visit again.
The Smithy is located at the site of an 18th century blacksmith shop that remained in operation until WWII. Painstakingly renovated and magnificently appointed, the building alone is worth a visit. Owners Sheryl Leach and Howard Rosenfeld added hundreds of feet of beautiful stone walls during the extensive renovation process.
